Lighting professionals attach City Theatrical's Boom Tie Off to the top of sidelight booms. Then, rope or steel cable is attached to the building ceiling or grid to stabilize the boom. Sidelight booms can hold dozens of lighting fixtures, weigh hundreds of pounds, and can be very unstable without having this safety device on the top. The ring is ½” steel rod roll formed and welded to a 1 ½” NPT steel pipe coupling.
